Also known as: Energy Generation Operations, Process Operations Technology

Energy Operation careers cover activities related to increasing energy efficiency (broadly defined), making energy demand response more effective, constructing "smart grids," and other energy efficient activities. Typical duties include operating or maintaining stationary engines, boilers, or other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings or industrial processes. May also operate equipment, such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and steam boilers.
